It may feel daunting to talk about yourself and your final wishes…especially when you don’t know when you will die – and under what circumstances. However it is always a good time to write your good byes….and make sure that you say the things you want to be remembered for.
The last messages of “I love you” or “I appreciate you” or “I forgive you” should be put to pen and paper. Write them and put them in sealed envelopes with the name on the front. You can always go back and redo or throw it away. But if you don’t write them NOW with a clear mind you may lay on your death bed thinking “damn – why didn’t I write that?”
Let’s talk about what might be in your letter. These are just ideas. Make it your own. Feel that it is a good and loving exercise. Sometimes it is easier to write than to talk about the “heavy” topics.
I recommend that you date it and be sure to end it with your own beautiful caring complimentary closing.
