Yesterday I decided that I should stop postponing contacting a TX medical research facility to see if I could complete paperwork donating my body now. I am wonderfully healthy, vibrant and not planning on dying anytime soon but I have to practice what I am preaching. I have no idea if something will happen to change my world today or in 10,000 days but I don't want my wishes to be difficult for others to follow.
There are several online sites that offer you free information on a state by state basis regarding whole body donations.
https://anatbd.acb.med.ufl.edu/usprograms/
is maintained by the Anatomical Board of the State of Florida but they list medical colleges and research facilities state by state.

It is a way of learning what happens to your body when you donate it. I mean you won't know - you will be dead at that time - but you may want to tell your family why you have made such a decision.
I have my forms done - two people have signed it - and it is on its way to the selected Univerity Medical Dept. They will send me a donor "card" to keep in my wallet or with relevant paperwork.
Your decision is personal. I am urging you to make decisions. Don't postpone what you know you should do - be it funeral arrangments, cremation and wishes about the scattering of ashes (my cremated remains are to be returned to my loved ones and they have instructions where to scatter them btw), or whatever you select.
Maybe my actions will help you move ahead! It actually feels good to have more details done. And I know that I can always change my decision....but if I do nothing than someone else has to do the "heavy lifting" and make those decisions. I don't think that is fair.
